The newest member of the Dallas Stars organization is Albin Eriksson. He was selected 44th overall in the second round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Eriksson is from Bollnäs, Sweden and has played with Skellefteå AIK for the past two seasons. In the 2017-2018 season, he recorded 22 goals, 18 assists, and 40 points in 38 games played at left wing.

Derek has some initial thoughts about the newest member of the Stars:

While he was left off the U18 team for Sweden this year, his stats from the SHL and SuperElit are nothing but impressive. At 17 years of age, he’ll have time to develop before joining the Stars full time as he has committed to Skellefteå AIK for the 2019-2019 season. You can read more of his stats over at Elite Prospects.

At 6’4” and 207 pounds, Eriksson will bring size and puck-handling skill to Dallas’ lineup when he joins the team.

Eriksson already seems right at home in a Stars jersey at the press interview for the draft:

Eriksson already knows the Stars’ roster and who his favorite future teammate is:
