The only Dallas Stars prospects left in action in the postseason are European prospects after Riley Tufte and Minnesota Duluth fell in the Frozen Four final.
Europe
Sweden
Niklas Hansson did not play a single game for HV71 this week in the SHL as they advanced to the SHL finals.
In two playoff games this year he has gone without a single point and played a total of 12 minutes in the post season.
After last season’s success it is disappointing to see Hansson not only underperforming in the regular season but not getting a look in the playoffs.
John Nyberg’s season ended with Frolunda after they lost to Brynas in seven games.
He finished with a single goal in 14 post season games with Frolunda and averaged around 19 minutes of ice time per game.
Nyberg has stepped forward this season, becoming a reliable defenseman for Frolunda and regularly featuring on their second defensive pairing.
Finland
Roope Hintz and HIFK fell in the semifinals in the Liiga to Tappara and will not get the chance to battle it out for the Liiga crown.
Hintz went pointless through the last two games of the series but is currently third on the points table for the playoffs, with nine points in 13 games.
They face JYP in the medal round to fight for the bronze medal of the Liiga playoffs.
Those games are due to start on Friday.
