Jim Nill announces the Stars’ future coach. (P.S. Yes, it’s Ken Hitchcock.)

NHL: Minnesota Wild at Dallas Stars Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Stars are going live from American Airlines Center with President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Lites and GM Jim Nill set to address the media.

Will they announce Ken Hitchcock as the once and future head coach? Will Stars fans really party like it’s 1999? You tell us.

ETA: It’s true. All of it.

“I’m excited for [Hitch] to lead our team and look forward to a great relationship.” — Jim Nill

“Once you get into résumé, it’s not even close ... gets the most out of his best players, gets the best out of young players.” — Jim Lites

“It’s an emotional day for me, because this is like coming home. It means the world to me.” — Ken Hitchcock

Jason Spezza, Dan Hamhuis, Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn will have a media availability after the presser.

And Hitch gets his first questions from one of the few familiar media faces in the crowd: Mike Heika of The Dallas Morning News. It’s a real welcome-back now.
