Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Roope Hintz Has Four Point Week In Liiga

Meanwhile prospects in the NCAA and Sweden have finished their seasons

NOTE: This prospect update was written before Sunday evening’s games.

Nicholas Caamano played three games for the Flint Firebirds this week and finished with a single assist.

He got the assist, his 57th point of the year, during a 5-2 loss to the Oshawa Generals on Saturday.

In three games with the Ottawa 67’s Chris Martenet finished pointless. He has 11 points in 49 games this season.


Through three games for the Kamloops Blazers, Ondrej Vala finished with a single assist.

He had the assist on the opening goal during a 5-4OT win against the Seattle Thunderbirds on Wednesday.


Mike Prapavessis’ season finishing on Saturday as the RPI Engineers were swept in the first round of their NCAA post season. They lost a pair of games to Clarkson on Friday and Saturday.

Despite the two losses Prapavessis finished the last weekend of his NCAA season strongly, with a pair of assists.

He had 16 points through 34 games with one of the worse teams in the NCAA.

Joseph Cecconi played two games for Michigan this week and finished with a single assist.

He got the assist during a 5-3 win against Minnesota on Friday. Cecconi now has seven points in 32 games.

Through two games with North Dakota, Rhett Gardner finished with a single assist. This assist, his 18th point of the season, came on Friday during a 3-2 win against Miami.

North Dakota starts its playoffs next week, facing St Cloud State in the NCHC quarterfinals.

Riley Tufte only played one game this week for Minnesota Duluth due to illness. He went pointless in the first game of the weekend, a 7-4 loss to Western Michigan.

Colton Point did not play for Colgate on Friday and Saturday in the first two games of their first round series against Princeton. They won the first game 3-2 and lost the second 4-3. Both games went to overtime.



Niklas Hansson played one game for HV71 this week and finished with a single assist. Despite this he has also not been in the lineup for several games over the past two weeks.

John Nyberg had a point per game over the past week with three points in three games for Frolunda.

He had a goal and an assist in a 3-2OT win on Thursday and had an assist in a 4-3SO loss on Tuesday.

Nyberg had 15 points in 47 games this year.

The SHL regular season finishes next week and both Frolunda and HV71 are on course to reach the post season.

Fredrik Karlstrom played three games for AIK and finished with a goal and an assist. He got both points as AIK drubbed IK Oskarshamn 6-0 in the final game of the regular season.

AIK are now competing to be promoted to the SHL.

Jakob Stenqvist played three games for Modo and finished pointless. He has six points through 41 games this season.

Modo’s season has finished and they did not make the SHL qualifying rounds and are not in the mix for relegation.


Roope Hintz played two games this week and finished with three goals and an assist.

He got a pair of goals and an assist during a 4-1 win against the Pelicans on Thursday.

He was named first star of the game for his three point effort. Highlights of the game can be watched here.

Hintz added his third goal during a 2-0 win against Karpat on Friday.

Aleksi Makela played three games for Assat this week and finished pointless through all three games.
