Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Caamano And Hintz Have Strong Weeks

Ondrej Vala also had a productive week in the WHL.

North American Juniors and NCAA

OHL

Nicholas Caamano had a pair of goals for the Flint Firebirds through two games this week.

He got both goals during a 5-2 win against the Kitchener Rangers on Saturday. He scored the Firebirds second and third goals, including the game winning goal. He was named first star of the game for his effort.

Chris Martenet went pointless in a single game for the Ottawa 67s this week.

WHL

Ondrej Vala play four games this week for the Kamloops Blazers and finished with two assists and a goal.

He now has 18 points in 46 games on the season, three points off his season high last year.

NCAA

Mike Prapavessis played two games with the RPI Engineers this week and finished with a single assist. He got the assist on a powerplay goal during a 4-3 loss to Cornell.

Joesph Cecconi played two games for Michigan and finished pointless through both games. He was on the top defensive pairing.

Riley Tufte cooled down a little this week, finished with only one assist for Minnesota Duluth through two games.

He got the assist during a 5-0 drumming of Omaha.

Rhett Gardner had a pair of assists for the University of North Dakota this week. In a pair of games against St Cloud State he had an assist in each game.

Colton Point played one game for Colgate this week, a 3-1 loss to Union on Saturday. He allowed two goals on 25 shots.

Europe

Sweden

Niklas Hansson went pointless through two games this week for HV71. He also missed a game due to illness.

John Nyberg played two games for Frolunda and went pointless through both games. He played an average of 16 minutes of ice time.

Fredrik Karlstrom went pointless through three games in the Allsvenska for AIK.

Jakob Stenqvist was not in action in the Allsvenska because he was on international duty with the Sweden U19 team.

Finland

Roope Hintz had an excellent week in the Liiga finishing with a pair of goals and an assist.

Hintz had one goal during a 4-2 loss to Lukko, scoring on the powerplay. Highlights of the game can be found here.

He also had a goal and an assist as HIFK lost 6-4 to Karpat. Highlights of the game can be found here.

Hintz averaged 18 minutes through both games.

Aleksi Makela is still out injured.

Slovakia

Matej Paulovic had a three point week in Slovakia with HC Nove Zamky. He has 20 points in 44 games.
