Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Nicholas Caamano Has Six Point Week

North American Juniors and NCAA

OHL

Nick Caamano had a very impressive week in the OHL with the Flint Firebirds. He finished with six points in three games.

On Wednesday he would score the first of the three goals he had this week during a 5-4 win against the Sarnia Sting. It would be the game winner late in the third period.

During a 4-3OT loss on Friday to the Erie Otters Caamano added a pair of assists. He assisted on the game tying goal and had an assist on the Firebirds’ second goal the game.

On Saturday, during a 7-2 rout of the Guelph Storm, Caamano had a pair of goals and an assist.

Caamano got a shorthanded goal, a powerplay goal and an assist on an even strength goal.

He was named third star of the game. Highlights can be found here.

Chris Martenet got a pair of assists for the London Knights this week.

Both assists came during a 5-4OT win against the Sudbury Wolves on Friday. He got the primary assist to send the game to overtime.

WHL

Ondrej Vala played two games for the Kamloops Blazers on his return to the WHL after the World Junior Championships.

He finished pointless through both games he played.

NCAA

Michael Prapavesssis played two games for the RPI Engineers this week. He finished pointless through both games.

Joseph Cecconi’s University of Michigan team were not in action this week.

Rhett Gardner played two games for the University of North Dakota. During a 9-1 drubbing of Omaha he finished with a single assist.

Riley Tufte got his first point of his NCAA career this week for the University of Minnesota Duluth.

It was a secondary assist on their opening goal during a 2-2 tie.

Colgate was not in action this week.

Europe

Sweden

Niklas Hansson played two games in the SHL for HV71 this week. He finished pointless through both games.

He got limited ice time in both games, playing only four minutes in one and eight in the other.

John Nyberg got his third goal of the season for Frolunda and his eighth point. He got the goal during a 3-1 win against Orebro on Friday.

He got the game winning goal and played 19 minutes.

Fredrik Karlstrom played one game in his return to AIK after the World Junior Championships. He finished pointless in the game.

Jakob Stenqvist played two games for MODO in the Allsvenska and finished pointless in both games. He had three points in 25 games.

Finland

Roope Hintz had a pair of goals for HIFK in three games this week.

He got the only goal as HIFK lost 2-1 to Assat on Tuesday, highlights can be found here, and got the other in a 3-2 win against KooKoo on Saturday. Highlights of that game can be found here.

Hintz has 12 points in 23 games this season for HIFK.

Aleksi Makela finished pointless through two games this week.

Slovakia

Matej Paulovic went pointless through two games this week.
