Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Everyone Gets Goals In OHL, Riley Tufte Keeps Rolling

Both John Nyberg and Niklas Hansson had good weeks in the SHL as well.

NOTE: This update was written before Sunday evening’s games.

North American Juniors and NCAA

OHL

Nicholas Caamano played two games for the Flint Firebirds this week and finished with a pair of goals.

He got both goals during a 4-3 win against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Caamano was named first star of the game and scored the game winning goal.

Chris Martenet got his second goal of the season and his first with the Ottawa 67s this week.

He scored Ottawa’s only goal during a 6-1 loss to the Mississauga Steelheads on Tuesday.

WHL

Ondrej Vala played two games for the Kamloops Blazers and finished pointless through both of them. He has 14 points in 41 games this season.

NCAA

Mike Prapavessis played two games for the RPI Engineers this weekend and finished pointless in both games. He played on the second defensive pairing.

Joseph Cecconi did not play this week as Michigan were not in action.

Rhett Gardner finished pointless for the University of North Dakota through the two games they played this weekend.

Riley Tufte kept his productive streak going in the NCAA as he added another pair of points.

He got a goal and an assist as Minnesota Duluth beat cross state rivals Minnesota.

Tufte now has eight points in 21 games.

Colton Point also played this weekend in the NCAA. He came in as relief as Colgate lost 3-1 Harvard. He played 33 minutes and made 18 saves without letting a goal in.

Europe

Sweden

Niklas Hansson had a good week in the SHL as he got a pair of assists for HV71. He got both assists as HV71 beat Leksand 3-1. He played just over 14 minutes in the game.

He now 10 points in 38 games.

Also getting an assist in the SHL was John Nyberg. He got the assist as Frolunda lost 4-2 to Brynas. He played nearly 18 minutes.

In the Allsvenska Fredrik Karlstrom played two games for AIK but finished pointless through both of them. He has 20 points in 33 games.

Jakob Stenqvist played two games and finished pointless through both of them for AIK.

Finland

Roope Hintz played two games in the Liiga this week and finished with a single goal, his 9th of the season.

He got the goal during a 5-3 loss to Tappara.

Aleksi Makela is currently out injured.

Slovakia

Matej Paulovic had a single assist for HC Nove Zamky this week.
