North American Juniors and NCAA
Nick Caamano had a quieter week in the OHL this week, finishing with just a single point in two games.
He got the assist during a 4-3 win against the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds on Saturday. Caamano has 18 points in 12 games in for the Flint Firebirds.
Chris Martenet remains out with injury for the London Knights.
Ondrej Vala finished with two points this week in the WHL for the Kamloops Blazers.
He had a goal and an assist as the Kamloops Blazers downed the Saskatoon Blades 5-1. Highlights of the game can be found here.
Vala has seven points in 13 games for the Blazers.
Mike Prapavessis got his first goal of the NCAA season for the RPI Engineers this week. He got a power play goal as they beat RIT 6-3.
Joseph Cecconi got his first point of the year, an assist, during a 4-3 win against Michigan Tech. He got an assist on the opening goal of the game.
Cecconi played both games on Michigan’s top defensive unit playing alongside Nolan De Jong.
Rhett Gardner finished with two points, a goal and an assist, through two games for North Dakota this weekend.
He got both points as they beat Bemidji State 5-4 on Saturday. Gardner scored the game winning goal on the powerplay early in the third period.
Riley Tufte only played an exhibition game for Minnesota Duluth this week. He went pointless as they lost 2-1 to the USA U18 team.
Niklas Hansson played two games this week for HV71 in the SHL. Hansson averaged 20 minutes of ice time in each game and finished pointless.
Hansson has one point in nine games this season.
John Nyberg played three games this week for Frolunda. He finished pointless through those games and averaged around 14 minutes of time per game.
Fredrik Karlstrom played one game for AIK in the Allsevenska this week and finished with a single assist. He has eight points in 12 games.
Jakob Stenqvist remained played in the Allsevenska this week for MODO. He finished pointless through two games this week.
Roope Hintz finally got his season underway as he returned from injury. He finished with a goal through his first two games.
He played 23 minutes of ice time and scored the tying goal against HPK to take the game to overtime. HIFK would win in the shootout.
Aleksi Makela played three games this week. He finished pointless through all three games and averaged 11 minutes of ice time per game.
Matej Paulovic went pointless through two games for HC Nove Zamky this week.
