Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Nick Caamano’s Point Streak Broken At Seven Games

Despite Caamano’s point streak being broken at seven games he stays near the top of the OHL in scoring.

NOTE: This update was written before Sunday evening’s games.

North American Juniors and NCAA

OHL

Nick Caamano’s point streak was broken at seven games this week. He did still managed to finish with two points through three games for the Flint Firebirds.

During a 5-4 win against the Mississauga Steelheads on Friday, Caamano finished with a single assist. Highlights of the game can be found here.

During a 5-3 loss on Saturday to the Barrie Colts Caamano finished with a single goal. Highlights of the game can be found here.

Caamano is currently third in the scoring race in the OHL with 17 points in ten games.

Chris Martenet remains out with injury and did not play for the London Knights

WHL

I have to admit that I forgot that Andrej Vala had signed an entry level contract with the Dallas Stars. He will now be included in this weekly prospect update.

The big defenseman currently has five points in ten games for the Kamloops Blazers.

NCAA

Mike Prapavessis played one game this week for the RPI Engineers. He played on their top defensive pairing and finished pointless.

In one game with Michigan Joseph Cecconi finished without a point. He played on the third defensive pairing.

Rhett Gardner is still injured and did not play this week.

Riley Tufte played in his first two games of the season with Minnesota Duluth this weekend. He finished pointless in both games and played on their third line.

Colton Point got his first start of the year with Colgate University. He back stopped them to a 4-4 tie, saving 30 of the 34 shots he faced.

Europe

Sweden

Niklas Hansson played in two games for HV71 this week. He finished pointless in both of them and averaged 15 minutes of ice time in each of the two games.

John Nyberg got his second goal of the season this week for Frolunda. He got the goal during their 3-2 loss to Linkoping on Saturday.

Erik Karlstrom played three games this week for AIK in the Allsvenska but finished pointless in each of the games.

Jakob Stenqvist played two games in the Allsvenska this week for MODO after being called up from the juniors. He finished pointless in both games.

Finland

Roope Hintz is still out injured and has not played this week.

Aleksi Makela played two games for Assat this week and finished pointless in both games. He averaged 11 minutes of ice time in each game.

Slovakia

Matej Paulovic played two games in Slovakia this week, he finished with a goal and an assist through both games
