Ahh, the NHL Awards: hours of cringe-inducing television punctuated by seconds of genuine emotion. Thanks to some Very Important Stars, Dallas fans actually had something to tune in for.

First of all, there was the moment we've all been waiting for: Jamie Benn receiving his due as the 2015 Art Ross Trophy winner. Plus Jamie was selected to...the 2nd Team All Stars. (With an Art Ross Trophy? What does a brother have to do to make that top line?)

You may have noticed that John Klingberg came in 5th in Calder Trophy voting, which sounds pretty good until you see the actual scoring. Bob Sturm said this so you didn't have to.
But that All-Rookie Team placement sure was sweet.
And Tyler Seguin's own Art Ross and Rocket Richard bids may have been derailed by injury, but it was nice to see him remembered in the Lady Byng voting.
And one last look from NHL Awards night, because "play together, win together" isn't just for that other team.

Jonathan Pitre — whom you may know as the "butterfly child" — took the stage to a standing ovation and got a nice surprise from newly anointed Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson.
