Remi Elie played three games this week with the Erie Otters finishing with three points. All those points came during a pair of games at Owen Sound.

During a 5-4 loss on Friday, Elie would finish with a goal and an assist. He'd assist on Alex DeBrincat's 40th goal of the season, the goal which opened Erie's scoring. He'd add his 26th of the season late in the second period on the powerplay. Highlights of that game can be found here.

In Saturday's 6-1 win, Elie would finish with a lone assist. He'd assist on Nick Baptiste's 26th of the year on the powerplay. Highlights of the game can be found here.

The Erie Otters have already clinched a playoff spot.

Jason Dickinson is currently on a four game point streak, and had a point in each game he played this week. On Wednesday they faced the Erie Otters, losing 8-4, but Dickinson finished with a goal. It was his 23rd of the year. Due to injuries on the blueline Dickinson stepped up to be a defenseman for the game. As noted in DBD's very own Daily Links, it might have contributed to McDavid's four goal game as Dickinson was matched up against Connor McDavid. There don't appear to be any highlights of his blueline performance.

By Friday, Dickinson was back at center and had an assist in a 6-2 loss at the hands of the London Knights. He assist on Tyler Boston's 9th goal of the season early in the third period. Highlights of the game can be found here.

Saturday saw Robby Fabbri return from injury for the Guelph Storm and Dickinson was moved to the second line. He finished the game against the Kitchener Rangers with a single assist. The Storm would win the game 3-1.

The Guelph Storm clinched a playoff spot this week.

Aaron Haydon returned to action for the IceDogs on Thursday after an absence of nearly three weeks due to an upper body injury.

In a 4-2 win against the Mississauga Steelheads, Aaron Haydon would get his 15th assist and 23rd point of the season. He assisted on the opening goal by Brendan Perlini, Perlini's 23rd of the year. Highlights of the game can be found here.

Brent Moran got his 15th win of the season for the IceDogs on Saturday, backstopping them to a 5-2 win against the North Bay Battalion. He saved 21 of the 23 shots he faced, a 0.913SVS%. He currently has an average 0.902SVS% for February.

The Niagara IceDogs have already clinched a playoff spot.

Patrick Sanvido went pointless in three games this week for the Windsor Spitfires. They currently sit ninth in the OHL's Western Conference and appear very unlikely to claim a playoff spot.

Alex Peters is still out injured.

WHL

Brett Pollock is currently on a four game point streak and had six points in three games this week. The Edmonton Oil Kings currently occupy the final wildcard spot in the WHL's Eastern Conference.

In a 2-1 loss to the Red Deer Rebels on Wednesday, Bret Pollock finished with a single assist. He had the primary assist on Lane Bauer's 20th goal of the season on the powerplay.

On Thursday, Brett Pollock would score his 27th goal of the year. His goal tied up the game at two apiece late in the third period. The Oil Kings would get the win in overtime, 3-2.

Pollock would put the Oil Kings on his back during a 5-3 win against Prince Albert on Sunday. He'd finished with a pair of goals and a pair of assists. He'd score twice on the powerplay but both of the assists were on equal strength goals. He was named first star of the game for his four point effort.

I'd have highlights of all three of those games but the WHL website appears to lack any Oil King's highlights from the past week.

Cole Ully only played two games this week but finished with three points. All three points came during a 6-3 win against the Vancouver Giants. He scored his 30th goal of the season, the game winning goal, and assisted on Luke Harrison's 12th goal and Matt Needham's 22nd. Needham's goal was an empty netter. Highlights of the game can be found here.

The Blazers still find themselves in contention for a playoff spot, either as the last wildcard or as third in the B.C Division. They currently have 54 points while the third placed Prince George Cougars have 56. The final wildcard holders, Tri City Americans have 57. It might take a little bit more but the Blazers could still find themselves in the playoffs.

QMJHL

Philippe Desrosiers had a strong start to the week, posting back to back shutouts for the Rimouski Oceanic. They beat Quebec 3-0 with Desrosiers saving 30 shots. He was named first star of the game. He followed up on Friday with another shutout, this time a 8-0 win against Acadie-Bathurst. He saved the 14 shots he faced.

However he finished with a 0.826SVS% game against the Halifax Mooseheads. In a 5-4 win he saved 19 of the 23 shots he faced in the game. He also let in Nikolaj Ehler's penalty shot early in the third period.

USHL

Matej Paulovic played two games this week and finished with a single goal. He scored in a 3-2 win against the Cedar Rapids on Friday. He has 33 points in 39 games this season.

NCAA

Mike Prapavessis had an excellent final weekend in the NCAA for Renesselaer. On Saturday he'd get an assist in a 3-3 tie against Clarkson. He'd get his first goal of the season on Saturday in a 4-3 win against St. Lawrence. He'd get an even strength goal early in the second period and then have the primary assist on Drew Melanson's powerplay goal just over halfway through the second period.

He'd finish his first NCAA regular season with 8 points through 36 games. Renesselaer face Clarkson in a best of three series to decide who'll get through to the ECAC Quarterfinals.

Devin Shore and the University of Maine played two games against Providence and lost both 5-2. Devin Shore had a single assist over the weekend. He assisted on Ben Hutton's shorthanded goal on Friday and went pointless on Saturday.

Maine faces Vermont in a best of three series next weekend to see if they advance to the Hockey East Quarterfinals. Shore has finished what will probably be his last season in the NCAA with 34 points in 36 games.

Europe

Sweden

Ludwig Bystrom played two games for Farjestad this week, going pointless and averaging 19 minutes of ice time. He wasn't in the lineup for their game on Saturday. He has 5 points through 37 games for Farjestad this season.

There are two new additions for Dallas Stars Swedish prospects with the acquisation of Mattias Backman and Mattias Janmark.

Just a couple of general notes on them. I'll start writing up a weekly update for them start next week. I feel it is better to get a general feel for how they have done so far this season. First of all I'd strongly advise you check out this profile from after the trade last night.

In 23 games Mattias Backman has 16 points, good enough for 21st for all defensemen in the SHL and a 0.69PPG average. If he had played more in the SHL he'd be far higher up that list than 21st. As a point of comparison, in John Klingberg last season in the SHL he had 28 points through 50 games, a 0.56PPG average. He's averaging just under 20 minutes per game, third on his team in defensive minutes.

Mattias Janmark has 36 points through 53 games this season and has been averaging 17 minutes per game with Frolunda. This is the highest average time on ice for any Frolunda forwards and he is second on the team in points behind Mathis Olimb. His 36 points are good enough for 17th in the SHL overall.

Emil Molin and Niklas Hansson finished off their regular season this week. Molin played three games while Hansson only played the two. He appears to have been scratched in last Tuesday's 4-1 loss to IK Oskarshamn. Molin had an assist, his 9th of the year, in Rogle's 8-0 loss on Thursday. Hansson went pointless in the two games he played, he did play nearly 24 minutes in one game however.

John Nyberg doesn't appear to have played for Frolunda or its J20 team this week.

Finland

Esa Lindell played three games this week for Assat and added another goal to his total, making it 12 goals in 52 games. He scored the game winning goal in overtime during Assat's 2-1 win over KalPa. He averaged 23 minutes of ice time over those three games.

Aleksi Makela played one game this week, going pointless in Ilves 6-3 win against HIFK. He played 14 minutes. Makela didn't play in any of the other games this week and has only played a single game in February due to injuries.

Miro Karjalainen is meant to have played this week in Finland but I haven't been able to find any statistics confirming his points totals.

Russia

Dynamo Moscow begin their playoff series this week but Dmitry Sinitsyn has not been in the lineup for either of their two games so far. They have split the series so far with Lokomotiv.
