Remi Elie's trade to the Erie Otters has really helped his offensive game. He played two games this week on Friday and Saturday and had seven points through those games.

He scored a natural hat trick in a 7-4 win against the Kingston Frontenacs on Friday. This included the game winner for Erie, he also had an assist on an empty net goal. Unfortunately highlights of this game aren't available on the OHL website. Judging by the plus/minus awarded for those goals most came with Dylan Strome on the ice. He was named first star of the game for his four point game.

On Sunday he'd have a goal and two assists in a 6-5OT win against the North Bay Battalion. He'd score on the powerplay near the end of the second period, with assists going to Dylan Strome and Connor McDavid, but also have two primary assists on equal strength goals. He'd assist on Troy Donnay's goal which would make it 5-3 early in the third period. Topping off the performance Elie would have the only assist on McDavid's OT winner. Remi Elie was named second star of the game for his efforts.

Jason Dickinson extended his point streak to nine games with a four point effort this week. In a 3-2 loss to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds he'd get a single goal early in the second period. He scored a powerplay goal to tie up the game. Highlights of the game can be found here.

In a 5-4 win against the Saginaw Spirit, Dickinson would have two assists as the Guelph Storm rallied from a 4-1 deficit to win. He'd assist on Tyler Bertuzzi's powerplay goal and his equal strength goal that tied the game nearly half way through the third period.

On Sunday the Storm would beat the Kingston Frontenacs 4-3 in overtime. Dickinson would finish with a goal in this game, his fifteenth of the season and a shorthanded goal, early in the second period. Highlights of the game can be found here.

The Niagara IceDogs played four games this week and Aaron Haydon finished with a single assist over those games. In a 7-2 defeat of the Mississauga Steelheads he'd get the assist on their fifth goal, scored on the powerplay. He's been playing on the IceDogs top defensive pairing.

Brent Moran played a pair of games for the IceDogs this week. He'd backstop them to a 4-3OT loss to the North Bay Battalion on Friday. He finished with a 0.895SVS%, letting in four goals on 38 shots. Highlights of the game can be found here.

In the second game, another game that couldn't be decided in regulation, Moran saved 35 shots out of 38, a 0.921SVS%. He'd save all three shots he faced in the shootout as well to clinch the victory for the IceDogs over the Belleville Bulls. Highlights of that game can be found here.

Alex Peters remains out with injury and is unlikely to return for the end of the season.

Patrick Sanvido only played two games this week, going pointless through both of them. He wasn't in action on Satuday however. He injured his shoulder on Friday and his status is week to week.

WHL

Brett Pollock had his point streak broken at seven games this week. He had 10 points over that ten game period. He scored the Oil Kings lone goal in a 2-1 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings on Tuesday. He was named the third star of the game for his effort. Highlights of the game can be found here.

Cole Ully played two games this week with the Kamloops Blazers and finished with four points. In a 6-2 win against the Portland Winterhawks, Ully would have a goal and two assists. He scored goal number 20 on the season late in the third period. Highlights of the game can be found here.

In their final game of the week, a 1-0 win against the Vancouver Giants, Ully would finish with a single assist. Highlights of the game can be found here. He now has 58 points through 43 games.

QMJHL

Philippe Desrosiers played a single game for the Rimouski Oceanic. He back stopped them to a 7-3 victory against Moncton. He let in three goals on 27 shots, a 0.889SVS%. His season save percentage is now just below .900.

USHL

Matej Paulovic only played one game this week, a 5-2 loss to the Omaha Lancers, and would finish with a single assist. He now has 28 points through 27 games this season in the USHL.

NCAA

Devin Shore played two games this week with the University of Maine. They'd get shutout 2-0 against UMass Lowell but would win 4-2 against Boston College on Sunday. He'd have a goal and an assist in the 4-2 win against Boston College and would be named second star of the game.

Mike Prapavessis played in two games for RPI this week and finished pointless through those games. He was put on the second defensive pairings in the lineup for both games. RPI won both of the games they played.

Sweden

Ludwig Bystrom was back in the lineup for Farjestad, dressing as their seventh defenseman. He played eight minutes in both games and finished pointless.

Niklas Hansson hasn't played this week due to illness. Emil Molin went pointless and averaged 11 minutes of ice time for Rogle this week.

After being loaned to Mora in the Allsvenska, John Nyberg was called up to the SHL to play for Frolunda. He was the seventh defenseman and played eight and 11 minutes in the two games he's played in the SHL this week. He finished pointless through both games. He has also reportedly been selected for the Sweden U19 team for a tournament in February.

Finland

Esa Lindell continues to do well in the Liiga and is currently on a four game point streak for Assat. He scored a goal during their 7-1 win against Saipa on Thursday and had an assist in a 3-2 loss to HPK on Saturday. With 21 points in 36 games he is fourth in the Liiga in terms of defensive scoring. He continues to lead in time on ice and has the second most shots on goal of any defenseman in the Liiga.

Aleksi Makela played two games this week and finished pointless through both of them. He averaged 13 minutes of ice time per game playing on their third defensive pairing.

Miro Karjalainen is still out injured and has not played this week.
