The draft starts at 6 pm from BB&T Center in Florida. The Stars currently have the 12th pick in the draft. Tonight the first round will be drafted. Tomorrow the draft will continue with rounds 2-7.

As a refresher, the recent first round picks of the Stars have worked out pretty well. Under Jim Nill the Stars have selected Julius Honka,Jason Dickinson, and Valeri Nichushkin in the first round. The track record before that is a bit suspect. Radek Faksa, Jamie Oleksiak, Jack Campell, and Scott Glennie.
In a few hours, barring any trades, we’ll add a new name to that list.
