2014 NHL Playoffs Watching Thread: Rangers/Flyers, Hawks/Blues, Wild/Avs, Kings/Sharks

New, comments

More playoff hockey. Get your dose in now, because before you know it we're in the doldrums of August and begging for hockey to return.

Christian Petersen

Tonight's action features a healthy dose of western conference matchups. Here's the details:

Philadelphia Flyers vs New York Rangers (CNBC, 6 PM CST)
Chicago Blackhawks vs St Louis Blues (NBCSN, 7 PM CST)
Minnesota Wild vs Colorado Avalanche (CNBC, 8:30 PM CST)
Los Angeles Kings vs San Jose Sharks (NBCSN, 9:30 PM CST)

Personally, I'm looking forward to the Kings/Sharks series the most tonight -- even if it is another late start. The physicality of that series that I'm expecting is the embodiment of western conference hockey. The Sharks had a bit of fun at San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree's expense yesterday after he tweeted out support for the Dallas Stars:

It's the most wonderful time of year. Let's enjoy it.
