Remi Elie played three games this week and had four points. He had a goal and an assist in a 7-3 loss to the Peterborough Petes on Thursday. He assisted on a powerplay goal early in the second period and scored his second goal of the year just under four minutes into the third period. Highlights of the game can be found here.

Elie would add a pair of goals in the Bulls' 3-2 win over the Kingston Frontenacs on Sunday. Both his goals would come on special teams, he scored a powerplay goal to tie the game up and would score shorthanded just over two minutes later to get the win. His effort to tie up and then win the game in regulation would be enough to earn him the first star of the game. Highlights of the game can be found here.

Remi Elie is currently seventh in OHL scoring.

Jason Dickinson returned to the OHL in style with four points in his first two games back with the Guelph Storm. In his first game back, a 4-2 win against the Plymouth Whalers, he would get a goal and two assists. His goal, a shorthanded goal, would start off the scoring for the Storm who had been 2-0 down. He would assist on the third and fourth goals that put the Storm over the top. He was second star of the game. Highlights of the game can be found here.

In his second game back, a 3-2 win against Owen Sound, he would score the game tying goal on the powerplay early in the third period. Highlights of the game can be found here.

It was announced on Monday afternoon that Jason Dickinson was named captain of the Guelph Storm.

Brent Moran, Niagara IceDogs, has yet to backstop them to a victory this season. In the one game he played this week he let in four goals in 38 shots against the Mississauga Steelheads in a 4-3 loss. Aaron Haydon, who also played in the game, went pointless in the defeat. Highlights of the game can be found here.

Alex Peters went pointless through two games for the Plymouth Whalers this week. They would lose to the Guelph Storm but manage a 3-1 win against the London Knights on Saturday. He added six penalty minutes to his total over the two games.

Patrick Sanvido picked up his first point of the season this week. He had an assist in the Windsor Spitfires 4-3OT win on Thursday over the Barrie Colts. You can find highlights of the game here.

WHL

Brett Pollock played three games this week for the Edmonton Oil Kings and tallied a goal and an assist over those games. He would score a goal in their 4-2 loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers on Tuesday. He was one of three Oil Kings who had a positive +/-. Highlights can be found here.

In the Oil Kings' 2-1 loss to the Calgary Hitmen on Friday he would assist on the Oil King's lone goal. His assist was on a powerplay goal that opened the scoring for the game. He was named second star of the game for his effort that game however. Highlights can be found here.

Cole Ully continued to pick up points after he played four games in the past week, including three games back to back. He is currently on a six game point streak.

Ully had a goal and an assist in the Blazers 3-1 win against Swift Current on Wednesday. He would score a powerplay goal and assist on the third Blazer goal and final goal of the game. He was named second star of the game for his efforts. Highlights of the game can be found here.

Ully would add a single assist in the Blazers 3-2SO win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday. He would assist on the game tying goal late in the third but would miss his shootout attempt. Highlights can be found here.

In a 5-1 loss at the hands of the Medicine Hat Tigers Ully would assist on the only Blazers goal. It was an even strength goal which opened the scoring seven minutes into the first period. Highlights of the game can be found here.

The final game of the week, a clash between the two Dallas Stars prospects in the WHL, saw Ully come on top. The Blazers won the game 6-2 on the back of Ully's two goal, one assist night. He would score at even strength and assist on a powerplay goal. Ully was named first star of the game. Brett Pollock went pointless and finished a -2.

Ully is currently second in scoring in the WHL with 14 points through 8 games.

QMJHL

Philippe Desrosiers season has been up and down so far. He's had two quite poor games and two very good ones. He started the week well with a shutout of Shawinigan, 1-0, in which he was named first star of the game. He stopped all 22 shots he faced. In his second game of the week, a 6-4 win against Sherbrooke, he let in four goals from 33 shots, a 0.879SVS%.

USHL

Matej Paulovic played two games this week both against Cedar Rapids. Muskegon would lose both games, 4-3 and 6-0. Paulovic would have a single assist in their 4-3 loss.

NCAA

Both Devin Shore and Mike Prapavessis have played exhibition games in the NCAA this week.

Prapavessis had a single assist in RPI's 5-2 win over University of Prince Edward Island on Saturday. They begin their season in the icebreaker tournament on the 10th October.

Devin Shore had a single goal in the University of Maine's 8-3 win over New Brunswick in the exhibition game on Sunday evening.

Europe

Sweden

Ludwig Bystrom spent this week on loan to Timra in the Allsvenskan. He played three games with Timra and went pointless. He did play on their top defensive pairing and played, on average, over 20 minutes per game. He'll return to Farjestad and hopefully find his way into the lineup. There was an interesting article on HockeySverige about his season so far.

It has been a productive week with Emil Molin and Niklas Hansson with Rogle. Both of them have been moving down the lineup in recent weeks though it has only reduced their average ice time by a few minutes. In terms of the lineup Hansson has spent most of his time listed as on the third pairing and Emil Molin on the fourth line.

In the first game of the week, 3-2 win over Malmo, both had assists. They assisted on the same powerplay goal. Molin played just over 12 minutes and Hansson 18 minutes.

Molin would add another assist in a 3-2 win against Vita Hasten. Niklas Hansson went pointless in that contest. Molin played over 10 minutes while Hansson finished with just under 18 minutes of ice time.

Both Hansson and Molin had points in Rogle's 6-2 win over Sodertaije. Niklas Hansson scored the fourth Rogle goal half way through the third period and Molin would assist on the fifth goal with only a few minutes left in the game. Molin played just under 12 minutes and Hansson played just over 17 minutes.

John Nyberg has had an interesting week. He was reassigned back to the J20 from the SHL, registering two assists in his first game back with Frolunda J20 in a 4-0 win. He would then be loaned for a single match to Oskarhamn in the Allsvenskan. He played just over 12 minutes on the ice and finished with a +1.

He returned to Frolunda J20 and had another assist in Frolunda's 4-2 win. In Frolunda's 5-1 loss to Farjestad he would finish pointless. Despite having only played three games since his return he is the second highest scoring defenseman for Frolunda J20.

Finland

Esa Lindell played in only one game this week for Assat. He would finish pointless, -1, in Assat's 3-2 loss to Karpat. He played over 26 minutes in the game.

Aleksi Makela was assigned back to Ilves in the Liiga this week. He played in one game for Ilves and finished pointless. He played over 11 minutes in their 2-1 win.

Miro Karjalinen has not played this week for HIFK J20.

Russia

Dmitry Sinitsyn played two games this week finished with a goal and two assists. He scored the game winner in over time in Dynamo Balashikha's 5-4OT win on Tuesday. He would follow this up with a two assist game in a 4-3 win on Sunday. He played over 19 minutes per game in each of the two games this week.
