2014 Traverse City Tournament: Dallas Stars' Roster Released

In less than a month these rookies will compete in the eight-team tournament before heading to Fort Worth for camp.

You know we're almost done with the nuisance that is August now—the Dallas Stars released the roster for the 2014 Traverse City pre-camp tournament put on annually by the Detroit Red Wings.

From the release earlier this summer, "The NHL Prospects Tournament will return to Traverse City for the 16th season, running from Friday, Sept. 12 through Tuesday, Sept. 16. The eight-team tournament will include the Red Wings, Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues. Over the tournament's history, 440 players have gone on to skate in at least one NHL game."

There's usually some good video that comes out of these things, as well as scouts and hockey pundits gushing on about the talent they see. Last year it was Val Nichushkin.

This year, fans will hope that Radek Faksa, Brett Ritchie, Jason Dickinson, Jyrki Jokipakka and others shine.
