Alex Goligoski Back in Lineup Tonight Versus Winnipeg Jets

Lindy Ruff wants to see how one of highest paid d-men responds to Thursday's healthy scratch.

Kevin Connauton's first NHL stint was a short one. After one game in Lindy Ruff will go back to Alex Goligoski and pair him, for at least some of the time, with Jordie Benn.

"I want to see Alex's reaction to coming out and going back in. I also want to see the match-up we want with him," Ruff told media Saturday morning. "We're going to look at a couple of possibilities tonight. Alex might get some time with Daley. Those bottom four, we're going to try either-or during the game."

When Goligoski and Daley were together in Anaheim the results were less than good- But Winnipeg is not the Ducks.

The Stars know Goligoski can play better and the feel they have to help him get there. The healthy scratch may turn out to be a good thing in the long run if he can start contributing positively to possession and the score-sheet. They have to know and they have to give it time. $4.6 million is an awful number to just eat.

Weather permitting the Stars will hold a little Q&A session on AT&T Plaza with GM Jim Nill...

Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill takes the stage at 4:45 p.m. for a question and answer session with Stars in-arena hostess Celena Rae. Dallas Stars President and CEO Jim Lites will join fans at AT&T Plaza to discuss the team at 5:00 p.m. After the question and answer session with Stars executives, Bowling For Soup returns to play at AT&T Plaza. Following State of the Stars presented by Miller Lite, the Dallas Stars face off against the Winnipeg Jets at 6 p.m.

Also, they're doing Halloween at the game tonight. So prepare for bits.
