Dallas Stars Assign Aaron Rome, Scott Glennie to Texas Stars

After clearing waivers Aaron Rome will continue to work his way back from a hip injury in Cedar Park.

The Dallas Stars announced Friday afternoon that they activated forward Scott Glennie from injured reserve and assigned him to the Texas Stars along with Aaron Rome.

Rome cleared waivers earlier in the week and Kevin Connauton will likely play again soon, so the elder of the two should get more game conditioning at the American level.

Head coach Lindy Ruff said Friday that Alex Goligoski will play in one of the next two games, but defensive pairings were the same as they were last night. He was quite clear that Sergei Gonchar and Alex Goligoski would no longer be paired with one another.

"We're going to get Goose back in, whether that's tomorrow or the next game, but he's going to go back in," Ruff told media after practice.

So Ruff will have to break one of his other pairs up to accomplish that, but there's been no indication of how it might go down.

The Stars host the Winnipeg Jets tomorrow night at 6:00pm.
