Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Stransky's Hot Streak Continues

How have the Dallas Stars prospects done in this past week of hockey? Defending Big D is committed to to giving you weekly updates as their seasons progress.

Matej Stransky has extended his goal streak to an impressive six games, Ritchie has impressed pundits everywhere at Team Canada's Camp and Troy Vance has got an unnoticed four points through his last four games.

Both Radek Faksa and Brett Ritchie haven't been playing in the OHL because they both have been attending their respective WJC training camps. None of the european prospects have been in action because both Swedish and Finnish leagues have had a week off in the lead up to Christmas.

Gemel Smith has had no points in his last two games, despite his lack of production this week he is still on a point per game pace.

Matej Stransky has continued to be very impressive with 7 points in his last 3 games, 15 in his last 6, 18 in his last 9 games and 21 in the last 12. He has 12 goals in that time. This is a reasonable consistent rate and has helped get the Saskatoon Blades back on track for their Memorial Cup campaign.

Mike Winther has two points in three games this week. He was held pointless during his first and third game of the week but scored two points during the Prince Albert Raiders 5-4 Shoot out loss to the Kootenay Ice.

Troy Vance has been having a unnoticed hot streak with four points during his last five games. He has had a goal and three assists in those five games but failed to register a point in two of those five games.

In the NCAA both Scott Winkler and Alex Guptill has been held pointless through two games, Dmitry Sinistyn scored a goal for U-Mass Lowell in their sole game of the week and Curtis McKenzie has had a good week with two points in two games.

Branden Troock continues to be out with injury and has yet to return to action with the Seattle Thunderbirds.
