Reports out of the Czech Republic indicate that Jaromir Jagr will miss his second game in a row for HC Kladno after suffering a lower body injury October 18th.

The Dallas Stars forward left the ice 13 minutes into Kladno's Thursday contest against Karlovy Vary, returning to the bench later in street clothes to watch the remainder of the game.

Kladno's official web site and other Czech resources indicate (through rough Google translations, anyway) that there was hope of the owner/player returning to action tomorrow night against Brno but Jagr watched practice today and ruled out the possibility of his playing.

A groin injury is what's being assumed on the internet, though no official report on the specifics of the injury have been reported as far as we can tell.

Maestro yesterday at practice preparing away from the rest of the team in the yellow jersey, indicative of players outside the base assembly. So apparently ends on Tuesday. "Actually it does not. I shuffled out there on one leg, it is not worth, "said Jagr.

There's a rough Google translation for you from iSports.cz, indicating that he did get on the ice at some point but will apparently wait it out.

Jagr's has well know issues with his groins throughout his career, including last season but still managed 73 appearances for the Flyers.

Stars fans may care later this week and they may not. If CBA progress is made unexpectedly the Stars could find themselves opening a quick training camp sans Jaromir Jagr, Derek Roy, and waiting on a Jamie Benn contract.

At least there would be hockey in such a situation.
