Dallas Stars Announce 2011 Preseason Schedule

The Dallas Stars announced their preseason schedule today after the debacle with the Phoenix Coyotes at Reliant Stadium in Houston went south. The costs proved too prohibitive and so what otherwise would have been a pretty great spectacle gets cancelled after teasing us a little bit.

For two teams without owners, what else should/would anyone expect?

The show must go on, of course, and so here are the Stars seven (up from six) preseason games this year...

Away Home Time
9/20 Dallas Stars Montreal Canadiens 6:30
9/22 Colorado Avs Dallas Stars 7:30
9/24 St. Louis Blues Dallas Stars 7:00
9/25 Dallas Stars Colorado Avalanche 7:00
9/27 Dallas Stars Florida Panthers 6:00
9/29 Florida Panthers Dallas Stars 7:30
10/1 Dallas Stars St. Louis Blues 1:30

Seven might be better than six for the coaching staff's purposes of evaluation but for you and me, it's much worse. Only three home games this year instead of four and nary a television broadcast in sight, or so we presume as in many years previous. Hopefully one of the road games will be broadcast on the internet, and there's a chance a stream can be found online for the Montreal game because, of course, those Canadians televise their preseason hockey.
