What: Dallas Stars @ Detroit Red Wings Watching Party

You know a new season is here when we start planning our Defending Big D Dallas Stars watching parties. This year, we want to get the parties going a bit earlier than in the past and our goal is to try and have one once a month.
This Saturday night we'll have our first watching party of the season, getting together to catch the Stars take on the Red Wings at Frankie's Bar in uptown.
Frankie's is on the corner of N. Hall Street and Market Street in Uptown -- you can get easy directions just by finding it here on Google Maps.
We've had watching parties at Frankie's in Lewisville before and we've found it to be a great venue with good food and drink. We're hoping the Uptown location is a bit more centralized for the readers and Stars fans.
Frankie's doesn't allow for reservations (we've verified the Stars game will be shown) so please come early and claim your spot. The puck drops at 6 p.m. but we're planning on getting there around 5. We already have a number of people saying they'll come early but the more we have the better.
Please RSVP in the comments section so we can try and get an idea of how many of us will be invading Frankie's on Saturday. Hopefully once we get a good system in place for these parties we can start having raffles, prizes, etc. Who knows what sort of great things we might give away!
Finally: Would there be any interest in a watching party for the 26th of December? Perhaps not something big and special, but just some people willing to get together to watch the game?
