Dallas Stars Morning Skate Update: Burish Out Tonight, Could Play Tomorrow

Adam Burish took morning skate today and was of interest to the Chicago media afterwards but will not play tonight. It sounds as though he is a good possibility for tomorrow so we'll have to see how they re-arrange lines accordingly or they ease him and his groin) into the lineup in a fourth line kind of role.

Adam Pardy is closer than Nick Grossman, who is expected back next Thursday at the earliest, but neither will be able to go this weekend. Pardy is a possibility for Monday night against the Coyotes.

The power play bears some watching tonight as Glen Gulutzan's philosophy is to have two units on equal footing, and each are created from even strength lines. "We'll keep track of who's doing what. Who's creating chances and putting goal in the net," said Gulutzan.

"We're not gonna say we have unit one and unit two. I think that pigeonholes guys. At any level you need to create internal competition. These guys like to compete and they like to compete against each other. If we can get two units that compete against each other and have success that's going to make our team better. They realize that and the like the opportunity."

Morrow, Ribeiro and Ryder will play on what many will call the top unit and Benn, Eriksson and Vincour made up the other unit in practice. Robidas and Goligoski will go with the Ribeiro bunch and Souray and Daley with the other.

Lines still appear to be

Morrow-Ribeiro-Ryder
Eriksson-Benn-Vincour
Ott-Fiddler-Dvorak
Petersen-Wandell-Dowell

Krys Barch and Burish are your scratches.

The Stars say a limited number of tickets remain for tonight's game. Call 214-GO STARS or visit dallasstars.com for seats.
