[Update by B.W.] Nothing is anywhere near for certain, but there is enough talk on Twitter from several credible sources that Langenbrunner headed to Dallas may be a done deal. THIS IS PURE SPECULATION. Sometimes where there's smoke..you never know. We won't post anything for certain until Heika or Stepneski confirm the news.
[Update #2] As expected, the speculation was likely just that. No news tonight on any trade involving Langenbrunner.
Interesting developments out of New Jersey this afternoon as the Devils have cleared out the locker of forward Jamie Langenbrunner and asked him to waive his no trade clause. Without a doubt, the former Dallas Star is once again on the move. But could it be back to Dallas?
TSN's hockey insider guru Bob McKenzie had a rather interesting thought about such a trade.
Teams said to be most interested and locales he's likely to waive for include Dallas, St. Louis and San Jose. Stay tuned.
Keep in mind, Dallas isn't the only pony in this race and this is all speculation right now, but wow...
Langenbrunner is making 2.8 million this year, but his cap hit and the amount of salary he'd actually be paid would be pro-rated since we're half way through the season. Jamie becomes a UFA this summer.
What do Stars fans think? Have your say here and as Bobby Mac said: Stay tuned!
