In 95 days the American Airlines Center will re-awaken from it's 5 month-hockey slumber with a fresh sheet of ice and welcome we, the fans, back to it's warm, comforting hockey-bosom. (Do you think I miss it much? Do you think I need medication... ?)
The pre-season schedule features the usual repetition of Avalanche, Lightning and Blues, but this year if features ONLY the Lightning, Avalanche and Blues. Gone are the Panthers from last years exhibition schedule or the Coyotes from years past. Only six games on the docket this season (8 last year, 7 the year before that).
The good news is that 4 of 6 of them are on home ice. No information is available regarding the broadcast situation, but you can bet none will be televised and only one will be radio broadcast.
Also of note is that the full schedule will be released on June 22nd, almost a full month earlier than normal.

Frisco, Tex. – The Dallas Stars announced today that the club will play a total of six pre-season contests in 2010, including four at American Airlines Center.
Dallas will begin the home portion of its pre-season schedule hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday, September 21. The Stars will also host the Colorado Avalanche on Friday, September 24; the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, September 25; and the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday, September 30.
The Stars’ regular season schedule, along with the remainder of the league’s 2010-11 slate, is expected to be announced next Tuesday, June 22 on DallasStars.com at 11 am CT. Information about the Stars’ 2010 Training Camp is still pending and will be announced at a later date.
