"It's fun to come to the rink when you're winning," said Marc Crawford. That's the general attitude around team right now. Everyone's excited about all the wins and looking forward to two days off Friday and Saturday.
Despite taking morning skate and coming into the locker room and taking off his gear with everyone else like he was perfectly fine, Karlis Skrastins will be out tonight with a "quad contusion" (bruise) that he suffered on Tuesday night again the Montreal Canadiens.
The way he blocks shots it's a wonder this doesn't happen to him more often. Matt Niskanen and Mark Fistric will both be in the lineup tonight for the first time in quite some time.
Crawford wouldn't say which of the forward group would be scratched and with Barch, Segal and Sutherby coming off the ice at about the same time this morning, your guess is as good as mine.
There was lots of media there today with the Flames in town but not as much as for the Canadiens, evidently. If Morrow and Ribeiro took skate this morning it was only briefly, I didn't see them. The conglomeration known as Neal-Richards-Eriksson was off this morning. Loui and Neal were playing their famous tennis game on the event level. Loui Eriksson was doing quite well if I interpreted James Neal attitude correctly. They do love their games. They put down lines around the barrier/net now.
