The Stars announced this afternoon the signing of a 20 year old prospect out of the WHL named Matt Fraser. He's a left wing with the Kootenay Ice. See his stats and bio here. His offensive production seems to have blossomed last season but I cannot find any evidence of him being drafted ever in the NHL. Needless to say this is a bit of a project.
Here is the release from Stars PR:
Frisco, Tex. - The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has signed left wing Matt Fraser to a three-year entry level contract. He is currently playing for the Kootenay Ice of the Western Hockey League (WHL).

He played in 65 games for the Ice last season, posting 56 points (32g, 24a) and 117 penalty minutes. The Red Deer, Alberta, native also dressed in two games for the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2009-10, going scoreless.
The Dallas Stars will face the San Jose Sharks at American Airlines Center Thursday at 7:30 pm CT (TV: FOX Sports Southwest, Radio: Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket).
Hockeyfights.com has record of him. Apparently he's not afraid to drop the mitts.
