The Dallas Stars have announced today that Fabian Brunnstrom and Maxime Fortunus have been assigned to the Texas Stars of the AHL.
Brunnstrom has been sent down on a 'conditioning stint' and therefore was not required to clear waivers. He can only stay so long, and will rejoin the team in Montreal. This is what we've wanted for Brunnstrom pretty much all season, as he's struggled much more so than last season and has seen his minutes significantly reduced. He's been a scratch the past three games and was getting on the ice just over six minutes a game before that. He has just one goal and six assists this season in 23 games.
