Defending Big D, a Dallas Stars community

Middle management has posted some nice analysis over at Mirtle's From The Rink about the teams that have had to deal with the most man-games lost over the last four NHL seasons. The Blues, who are third behind Philly and the Isles, will have suffered through nearly 1,400 man-games lost. Granted, plenty of these can be categorized as 'freak' injuries like Erik Johnson's knee and Andy McDonald's ankle, but if you were part of the brain trust over at 14th & Brett Hull Way, wouldn't you take a long, hard look at the people in charge of physical conditioning for the team? I know in the past that Nelson Ayotte's grueling training has been questioned and scaled back, but maybe there's more to the story there.
