Hicks Sports Group has finalized the sale to Rangers Baseball Express, an ownership group consisting of Chuck Greenberg and Nolan Ryan. Tom Hicks will still own a minor investment in the team, based on his sale of 153 acres of land around RBiA, and will have the title of 'Chairman Emeritus'.
It's important to note that this doesn't mean that the Dallas Stars suddenly have money to spend. If this frees up the team's finances at all, we won't see any until this summer at the earliest.
