Brooks Laich has been re-signed by the Washington Capitals to a six-year contract, the team has just announced.
Apparently the deal is worth $27 million, meaning in free agency he likely would have gone for over $5 million a season. That's more than Mike Ribeiro. Still, this was one of the centers on the market that could have been a great addition to the Dallas Stars.
