The Dallas Stars present this play for the Friday afternoon flashback series, when Derian Hatcher broke Jeremy Roenick's jaw prior to the start of the 1999 playoffs.
It's an interesting retrospective, seeing as how our feelings of such hits have changed in recent years. Hatcher was suspended for the hit, yet if something similar happened now it's likely he'd be facing one of the longer suspensions the league has ever handed out.
What's even more interesting is how Roenick himself has said he has no hard feelings about the hit, as he says it was all part of the way the game was played at the time.
You give Adam Burish a video camera, hilarity will ensue. Eric Nystrom provides the team with his impressions of a play-by-play broadcaster, a color analyst, and a pregame matchup announcement. It's pretty funny.
