A Visual History of the NHL. Foundings, foldings, mergers, oh my! The Stars were the 12th (tied) NHL team to be founded... and five of their predecessors have bitten the big one. So we're tied for 7th on the NHL's oldest franchise list (with STL, PHI, PIT, LAK). UPDATE: Link to see the image in detail is in the comment thread.

Just wanted to memorialize this day. Hopefully the first of many more, though I will settle for it if the next time is April 8! Who would have predicted the Stars in first place in the first week of March! They would have been accused of depending on intangibles! GO STARS!
