Dallas and Detroit draft comparison

Interesting note on this years draft. Since poaching evaluator in chief, Jim Nil, from the Detroit redwings as well as some key personnel from their scouting department, it will be interesting to watch both clubs' 2014draft class as the develop over the years. Detroit has long been regarded as one of the best teams at drafting talent, especially without high picks, and they pick one pick after us in this years draft so the comparisons should be especially valid.

Also, remember that although Nil was in charge during last years draft, he let Jackson more or less run it with the scouting that Dallas' staff had done all season long. This is Nil's first official draft, and he may still leave it up to his scouts, but they are the one's that he put in place and have been reporting to him all season long. This is his first true draft with Dallas, so let's see if they can find some unknown russian talent in the 6th round that can change this teams fortunes.
