Bruce Bennett

How have the Dallas Stars prospects done in this past week of hockey? Defending Big D is committed to to giving you weekly updates as their seasons progress.

Remi Elie continued his hot streak this week with four points in three games for the Belleville Bulls. He had a goal in their 5-2 loss to Niagara on Tuesday, he had a goal and two assists against the Windsor Spitfires on Saturday however. He influenced all three goals that Belleville scored in their 3-1 win. He was named the second star of the game.

Jason Dickinson played four games this week for the Guelph Storm and had three points in those games. He had a goal against the Barrie Colts during their 4-1 win on Tuesday. He got a goal and an assist in their 5-3 win over Sault Ste. Marie on Friday.

Radek Faksa was on international duty at the WJC and did not play for the Kitchener Rangers this week.

Nick Paul and North Bay played four games this week. Nick Paul got two goals in those games, in back to back games on Saturday and Sunday. The first game during a 6-5 overtime loss to the Ottawa 67s. His goal was the first game of the game less than three minutes into the game. The second goal was during a 6-3 win over the Kitchener Rangers, it was an empty net goal.

Gemel Smith played three games this week with the Owen Sound Attack. He had four points which all came during their two games against the Erie Otters on Friday and Saturday. He had an assist in a 3-2 overtime loss on Friday and a goal and two assists during their 5-3 loss on Saturday. He was the third star of the game with this three point effort.

Mike Winther has still to play his first game for the Calgary Hitmen as he is still out with injury. He has been limited to just 18 games this season.

Cole Ully had an impressive week with five points in three games for the Kamloops Blazers. On Tuesday he had two goals during their 7-1 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds and was first star. He had two assists when the Prince George Cougars beat them 9-5 in a high scoring game. When they played again on Saturday Ully got the lone goal in a 3-1 defeat.

Dmitry Sinitsyn played four games for Regina this week and had a single assist. He now has 20 points through 40 games for the Regina Pats.

Branden Troock played three games and finished with two goals this week. In fact he scored both of the goals that the Thunderbirds had this week. He had Seattles lone goal in their 7-1 loss to Kamloops. He finished a minus-4 in that game. He got a goal against the Red Deer Rebels in a 5-1 loss on Friday. He was named second star of the game though.

Matej Paulovic played three games for the Muskegon Lumberjacks this week. He had a single goal versus the Indiana Ice on Monday. He would also rack up 15 penalty minutes against Sioux City on Saturday due to a major penalty and game misconduct for charging.

John Klingberg played two games for Frolunda this week. He played over 23 minutes against Lulea on Monday and went pointless. He would play over 20 minutes and get a goal in their 3-2 loss to Farjestad.

Ludwig Bystrom would only play one game, that being the game against Frolunda. He would go pointless and played just over 13 minutes of the game.

Rogle did not play this week and therefore neither did Niklas Hansson or Emil Molin.
