This stressful season is causing many NHL fans to freak out and lose all hope on their teams. The constant jumps in and out of the playoff race are very frustrating. It's hard not to go rouge and lose all faith on the team. Trying to stay optimistic this season is tough, but as Stars fans it is even harder. We as a group of loyal diehard fans have been through some tough times lately with the Stars always being so close then dripping out of the playoff race at the last second. The last 4 years have been tough.
The way Dallas has handled this mini rebuild here is amazing. Teams like the Oilers haven't really been competitive in their rebuilding state. Dallas has and excluding Detroit they have the longest winning season streak going at what I believe now is 15 seasons. This team and franchise has always been competitive and I believe this is going to be another one of those down to the wire years. The playoff race is so close you cannot lose hope. Dallas is finally playing well even with lasts nights showing they're still competing with the best and I think we all know Dallas has a good chance at beating Minnesota this Friday. Before we head into the Anaheim 3 game 'series' I think the fans need to act like the players and not read into statistics and take it as a game by game basis.
No matter who the Stars are playing the team we put on the ice is just as good as the best. Look into games as a player would and just like a player don't blame people for the loss. It's a shortened season which means every win is maximized and every loss is devastating. Don't get all crazy optimistic with a win or on the opposite side of things all depressed with a loss. No matter how ugly or sloppy the team played. Every day is a new day. No matter what happened the night before or what's coming the night after. Just stay focused on what's happening.
