Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Troock Continues Hot Streak, Has Seven Points In Three Games

How have the Dallas Stars prospects done in this past week of hockey? Defending Big D is committed to to giving you weekly updates as their seasons progress.

Every week, we look at the various prospects in the Dallas Stars system and check in on how they're doing. All stats are updated from the previous Sunday to Saturday night.

OHL

Remi Elie had a lone goal through two games this week. It was the opening tally during the 3-2SO win over the Oshawa Generals.

Jason Dickinson was pointless through two games for the Guelph Storm. He finished each of those games with a -1 rating.

Radek Faksa has played four games this week for the Kitchener Rangers. He had three assists in one of those games and went pointless in the rest. His three assists came during their 5-3 win over the Saginaw Spirit.

Nick Paul had three points in three games for the North Bay Battalion. He got two goals in their 5-3 loss to the Sarnia Sting on Thursday. His effort led to him being named second star of the game. He had a lone assist in their 6-3 win over the Niagara IceDogs.

Gemel Smith had another productive week with five points in three games for Owen Sound. He had a goal and an assist in their 5-3 win over the Kitchener Rangers. He was named second star of the game. He had two goals and an assist in another 5-3 win over the Guelph Storm. He was third star of the game. He went pointless during their 6-2 loss to the London Knights, but he picked up a fighting major.

Cody Payne played two games and went pointless through both of them. He finished the week with a -1 rating.

WHL

Cole Ully had a relatively quiet week with only a single goal in two games for the Kamloops Blazers. It came during their 7-3 defeat to the Kootenay Ice on Friday. In both games he finished with a -1 rating.

Mike Winther played only in one game for the Prince Albert Raiders and had a goal. The Raiders would lose that game, 6-3, to the Red Deer Rebels.

Dmitry Sinitsyn has played three games with the Regina Pats this week. He had an assist in their 5-4 loss to the Brandon Wheatkings and another in their 5-4SO win over the Moose Jaw Warriors. His assist against the Moose Jaw Warriors came on a short handed goal.

Branden Troock had another very impressive week with seven points through three games, all against the Spokane Chiefs, for the Seattle Thunderbirds. He had a goal and an assist in their first 5-1 win over the Spokane Chiefs. He was third star of the game. Troock got three goals and an assist in their second win against the Spokane Chiefs, a 7-3 win. He was first star of the game. He had a lone assist in their third win, a 4-2 win on Saturday.

QMJHL

Troy Vance has played three games this week and had a single assist. The assist came during a 6-3 loss to the Quebec Remparts.

Philippe Desrosiers has played four games so far this week. Every single one was a loss. His SVS% over those four games is 0.816%. He was pulled after 22 minutes against the Val-d'Or, after letting in five goals in on 16 shots. He replaced his backup on Saturday and let in five goals on 24 shots. Its not been his best week.

Maxime Lagace is still to play a game for his new team.

NCAA

Devin Shore didn't play any games during the period this update covered.

Alex Guptill played two games for the University of Michigan. He got a single assist during a 5-4 win over Ohio State. He had two assists during a 5-4OT loss to the USNTDP U18 team.

Sweden

Ludwig Bystrom played two games for Farjestad this week and finished pointless. He finished with a +1 rating.

John Klingberg also played two games for Frolunda this week. He went pointless and finished with an even plus minus rating.

Emil Molin played his first game for Rogle in the Allsvenska, He had an assist from their fourth line.

Niklas Hansson Is still playing with Rogle as well. He had a single assist in two games.

Finland

Esa Lindell played three games on Jokerit's third defensive pairing. He got his first SM-Liiga goal of the season during an 8-2 win over the Pelicans.

Henri Kiviaho was backup for all three of KalPa's games this week.
