Radek Faksa has been on WJC duties for the Czech Republic and therefore has not played any games for the Kitchener Rangers this week. His defensive play was key in their shootout win over Canada on Saturday.

He was named first star of the game for his efforts. He added an assist on the game tying game during a 3-2 shootout win over the Sarnia Sting on Sunday. He scored his shootout attempt.

Cody Payne has played only a single game this week, a 6-5 loss to the Windsor Spitfire. He had a game misconduct six minutes into the game for leaving the bench to fight Ty Bilcke.

WHL

He also had their lone goal in relegation against Cornell during a 1-1 tie, which they lost in the shootout. He would score the Black Bears lone goal in the nine-round skills competition.

Alex Guptill went pointless through his team's two games this week. He also finished an even plus-minus. This is despite losing one game 3-2 and the other 3-0 against Michigan State.

Sweden

After being cut from the WJC roster for Sweden, Ludwig Bystrom played only a single game for Farjestad this week. He played just under 10 minutes on the ice and finished pointless.
