Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Troock Has Four Points In Two Games, Molin Leaves Brynas

How have the Dallas Stars prospects done in this past week of hockey? Defending Big D is committed to to giving you weekly updates as their seasons progress.

Every week, we look at the various prospects in the Dallas Stars system and check in on how they're doing. All stats are updated from the previous Sunday to Saturday night.

OHL

Remi Elie played three games for the Belleville Bulls and had a goal and two assists. His first assist came during their 5-2 win over the Mississauga Steelheads. His assist came on an empty net goal. His goal came during a 3-1 loss to the Peterborough Petes. His second assist came during a 6-4 loss at the hands of the Kingston Frontenacs.

Jason Dickinson also had three points in three games for the Guelph Storm. He had two assists during a 6-0 win over the Kitchener Rangers on Sunday November 24th. He was named third star of the game. His goal came during a 6-4 loss to the Erie Otters.

Radek Faksa played three games with the Kitchener Rangers and had a goal and an assist. His goal came during a 4-3 overtime win over Owen Sound. His goal tied up the game to send it to overtime. His assist was scored on the game winning goal of a 5-3 win over the Barrie Colts.

Nick Paul played two games with the North Bay Battalion and finished pointless. He had a -1 rating over those two games.

Gemel Smith played three games and had a single assist for Owen Sound. The assist came during a 3-1 win over the Plymouth Whalers.

Cody Payne had a goal in three games for the Saginaw Spirit. The goal came during their 6-2 win over the Windsor Spitfires on Wednesday.

I wrote on Friday that Matej Paulovic had been released by the Peterborough Petes. He has yet to join another team and is currently unaffiliated.

WHL

Coly Ully played two games for the Kamloops Blazers and had two assists. Both assists came during their 3-2 loss to the Kelowna Rockets on Friday.

Mike Winther had a quiet week through two games with the Prince Albert Raiders. He went pointless and finished with a -2 rating.

Dmitry Sinitsyn played only a single game for the Regina Pats this week and finished pointless. He had a +1 rating in the 6-1 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Branden Troock had a very impressive week with four points in two games for the Seattle Thunderbirds. He got a single goal in their 6-2 win over the Saskatoon Blades on Friday and was third star of the game. He had a goal and two assists during the T-Birds 6-3 win over the Victoria Royals and was named the second star of the game.

QMJHL

Maxime Lagace did not play this week but he was traded within the QMJHL from the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles to the Shawingan Cataractes.

Philippe Desrosiers has not played a game for the Rimouski Oceanic this week.

Troy Vance played two games and finished pointless. He had a -1 rating and two penalty minutes through those two games.

NCAA

Alex Guptill played one game this week. He finished with a goal and an assist in a 4-3 overtime win.

Devin Shore played two games and had a goal in each game. He was first star in the Friday game against Vermont, a 3-2 win. He also got a goal in their 5-2 loss to Vermont on Saturday.

Sweden

Firstly, Emil Molin has left his SHL Brynas club. He did play all their games this week but after Saturday's game it was announced that his loan had ended. It appears that he will be lent to Rogle of the Allsvenska, via Dallas. This was meant to happen earlier in the week but an injury made Brynas block the loan. He is now on Rogle's roster so he should be playing there for the foreseeable future.

John Klingberg only played in one of the three games Frolunda played this week. He had a -1 rating in that game and had nearly 27 minutes of ice time.

Ludwig Bystrom played three games for Farjestad and had no points through those three games. He finished with an equal plus minus.

Niklas Hansson was recalled to Rogle this week and played in three games. He had two assists in those three games. A productive start for Hansson, especially as he is on the third defensive pairing.

Finland

Henri Kivaho has not played any games for KalPa this week but instead was the backup for two of the games.

Esa Lindell played three games on Jokerit's third defensive pairing and went pointless through those three games.
