Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Dickinson Explodes In 8 Point Week

How have the Dallas Stars prospects done in this past week of hockey? Defending Big D is committed to to giving you weekly updates as their seasons progress.

Every week, we look at the various prospects in the Dallas Stars system and check in on how they're doing. All stats are updated from the previous Sunday to Saturday night.

OHL

Remi Elie had four assists in three games for the Belleville Bulls this week. Two of those came during a 9-4 loss against the Ottawa 67's. Despite his two point night he still finished a minus-3 overall. Belleville lost every game they played this week.

Jason Dickinson had a dominant week with eight points in three games for the Guelph Storm. He got two goals and three assists during the Storm's 9-3 win over Mississauga Steelheads. He was named third star of the game. He also got a goal and an assist in 6-2 win over the Plymouth Whalers, and again he was named third star of the game.

Radek Faksa had one of his best weeks, getting six points in three games for the Kitchener Rangers. He got a goal and an assist during the Rangers 6-3 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. He had another goal and assist in a 9-6 loss at the hands of the Erie Otters on Tuesday. He earned the second star of the game for his effort. He got another two assists in a 8-4 win over the Belleville Bulls.

Nick Paul played two games with North Bay this week and finished a collective minus-2. He had no points or penalty minutes through those two games.

Gemel Smith had a goal and two assists through two games for Owen Sound Attack this week. He was named third star of the game for his one goal, one assist effort in a 4-3 win over Belleville on Saturday. He now has 30 points through 25 games.

Cody Payne played three games this week for the Saginaw Spirit and had a goal and an assist. His goal came during the Spirit's 4-2 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Wednesday.

Matej Paulovic did not play this week for the Peterborough Petes.

WHL

Cole Ully had a quiet week with only a single assist in three games for the Kamloops Blazers. He assisted on the Blazers lone goal in a 2-1 loss to the Victoria Royals.

Mike Winther had three assists in three games this week for the Prince Albert Raiders. Two of those assists came during a 8-2 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes. He also had a fighting major during this game.

Dmitry Sinitsyn played two games for the Regina Pats and had a single assist. He finished the week a collective minus-2. His assist came during a 4-3 shootout win over the Red Deer Rebels.

Branden Troock played three games and had a goal and an assist. He had an assist in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Kelowna Rockets. His goal came during a 5-4 overtime win against the Portland Winterhawks.

QMJHL

Troy Vance returned to action following his six-game suspension. He played the single game on Friday and finished a minus-1.

Philippe Desrosier played a single game, a 4-3 shootout win against the Quebec Remparts, and had 24 saves on 27 shots. He saved all three of Quebec's shootout attempts. He had a .889 save percentage.

NCAA

Alex Guptill played a single game and had two goals in a 6-0 win.

Devin Shore had a goal and two assists during a 5-1 win over Boston College. He was the third star of the game.

SHL

John Klingberg played two games this week and finished pointless. He finished with a plus-1 rating.

Emil Molin played two games for Brynas and finished a minus-2. He played an average of eight minutes per game.

Ludwig Bystrom played two games for Farjestad and finished with a plus-2 rating. He had no points during those two games.

Niklas Hansson had an impressive week with a goal and two assists in three games. He now has 12 points in 12 games.

Finland

Henri Kiviaho is back as backup in KalPa but hasn't started a game this week.

Esa Lindell is also back playing on the blueline for Jokerit.
