Update: Apparently the Stars are battling another foe...

With Aaron Rome assigned to Texas as well and Ryan Garbutt's suspension lasting into the coming road trip the Stars had room with only 22 players on the roster.
This offers them options on the fourth line where Lane MacDermid has played well in Garbutt's absence, and it covers them in case Erik Cole's nagging injury prohibits his participation in back-to-back contests Monday and Tuesday.
In some cases it's just something nice a franchise can do for a player who's earned it, even if they don't see action. Morin has been everything for Texas through eight games, amassing a staggering 18 points already to lead the American League.
Morin played three games with the Stars in the 2010-2011 season when the team was ravaged by injuries in the spring of Marc Crawford's final campaign here.
The official release from the team...
FRISCO, Texas - The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has recalled forward Travis Morin from the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Morin, 29, has earned at least one point in each of his first eight contests with Texas this season and leads the entire AHL with 18 points (8-10=18). The 6-foot-1, 190-pound forward was the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 20 for posting nine points (4-5=9) in four games. The native of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota has appeared in three National Hockey League (NHL) contests, all as a member of the Dallas Stars during the 2010-11 season. Morin was Washington's ninth-round selection (263rd overall) in the 2004 NHL Draft.
