This might be a worthwhile read. Maybe not. I think we have all forgotten who has been the face of this franchise since he jumped into the league back in 99-2000 wearing that #45. That guy, our captain, is coming off a season just 14 months ago in which he had a career high 33 goals. Despite his lack of production in his 57 games this past year, the guy battled through serious back and neck injuries that were extremely crippling to his overall play. Sustain a back injury and get back to me on how it feels. He is NOT done. His career is NOT over. He has given everything he has to this organization for the past 13 years and it's a shame to see you some of you guys jump ship on him. Yes, with his past injury problems, he will not have the same role he has had in previous years. But he will be a hell of a third line wing for this team and if he can come back healthy and prove himself once again, he will be a key contributor to this team. I'm ecstatic to see how this team does this coming October because I think that right now it looks great. This team is heading in the right direction and it's great to see it unfold right before our eyes. All I'm asking is that we consider Morrow's contribution to the team and think before we constantly paint this blog with the idea of trading him away. Let's not come to conclusions about the guy after a stretch of 57 games crippled by injury. Let's remember what he has done for this franchise and what he will continue to do. He has been the heart and soul of this team for so long and will continue to until it is time to pass the torch to Jamie Benn. Thank you for your time.
