Would it really be a bad thing?

I want to propose a MOCK scenario that all of our worst fears about this off season are in fact validated and take effect: we trade morrow for a prospect and a pick; we deal Robidas for a 2nd rounder and a low prospect and a low draft pick; that we hold onto the "untouchables", and the supporting cast of Nystrom, and Fiddler and we have our team with some call ups from the AHL and an unknown kid from Washington who has red hair, and incredible grit. Would it be so bad that we turned the team over to Benn, Loui and Kari --as was alluded to--- by Joe Niewendyk on the Ticket today?

I think it could be a very intriguing team, and exciting team.

But lets all debate the "dream scenario" for the stars starting roster next season; lets each make a mock dream team for next year and argue why this team will be successful. With the only rule being ONE free agent allowed on each 2012-2013 Dallas Stars mock team. You can call up whomever you like, and place them wherever you want. Anybody interested?

So my team would be super risky, but like this:

Ryder-Benn-Eriksson

Fraser-Eakin-Semin-FA-/Smith

Nystrom-Fiddler-Vincour/Garbut

Wandell/Chiasson-Glennie-Smith

Goose-Larsen

Daley-Fistric

Robidas-Dillon

I think the youth would be exiting, and a team led by Jamie Benn can have a nice positive character change. The fourth line has one very responsible center (as all scouting reports have said), and a right wing who is ready for the next level. Chiasson could play there or get big minutes in the AHL, so that one is risky but I like it. Semin is my dream FA on the "second line". He and Ryder could switch on that top line with Benn and Loui. I also put Eakin up so high because he has limited minutes but productive hockey out in Washington. After watching him play with some solid talent in the WHL, I think he has a good enough offensive game to funnel pucks and shoot well if given the opportunity.

My D

is the same, with just a hole plugged where Souray goes. I think it is Dillon's time, and who better than to teach him the ropes than Robidas, the reliable vet?

What say you?
