The 2012 SB Nation Mock Draft is currently underway, with most of the first round selections already being made by the blog managers for each SB Nation hockey site. The Dallas Stars pick has already been made and will be announced on Friday, but I'm very curious to see how Stars fans would have chosen.
The draft this year has the chance to become one of the more intriguing first rounds we've seen in a while and could certainly top the draft of 2010, when several top defensemen fell to the Stars -- who decided to select Jack Campbell instead. A very similar situation could develop for the Stars this time around in nearly the exact same spot in the draft, all depending on how aggressive teams are in going after forwards in the top ten.
I don't want to spoil the entire first round ahead of time so I won't say who was selected where and by whom, but the poll below lists the top six players available when the Stars' selection came up at #13. How would you select, given these choices? If a player not listed is one you would chose, let us know in the comments.
Note: To avoid confusion the following players are unavailable: Girgensons, Grigorenko, Trouba, Dumba, Faksa, Yakupov, Ceci, Teravainen, Galchenyuk, Reinhart, Murray, Forsberg.
