Pictures, gifs, screencaps of Lile's spreadsheets, Wonderbeard, etcetera.

Story threading

Other SBN blogs do this, so I'm sure it's possible. Some types of stories lend themselves to this more than others, obviously. I doubt many users hunt through the old posts of various categories [stats especially], but plenty of the stuff in those old posts would still be relevant in later ones.

Contests

Steve Estep made an offer a few months ago relating to his radio show; call in and get a customized NHL94 signature/banner. The show was called off IIRC, but it gave me an idea. A member of the community (like Steve) donates the reward - customized banner, animated gif, skilled photoshop, what have you. The contest could be something simple, like a caption contest, or more elaborate (find the best 3second segment of this week's games to be made into a gif). I find that the hardest part of making a good gif/photoshop/whatever is always creativity, so getting the community involved could give great results.
