So I was bored during my first period english class yesterday morning, when this idea hit me.
It is a 4 team tournament
1. NHL East Allstars
2. NHL West Allstars
3. KHL East Allstars
4. KHL West Allstars
It could possibly be expanded to include allstar teams from other leagues around the world.
The rosters would be made up of:
3 Goalies (1 reserve)
15 Forwards (3 reserves)
8 Defensemen (2 reserves)
The structure is a playoff. Each series is a best of 7.
NHL East vs. KHL East
NHL West vs KHL West
with the winner of each game playing each other for the championship.
The host of the series would be determind by the previous years winner. For example, if the NHL West Won the whole thing, then a team in the NHL western Conference would host the next years series. The city is picked by a vote by owners of the teams in the NHL Eastern Conference, the KHL Eastern Conference, and the KHL Western Conference.
Which ever team won, would not be able to vote on which one of their teams hosts the next series.
