so after reading the post about Pardy being the whipping boy i thought i would make a post of my own on my whipping boy. i'm not trying to hate on the guy but it's very clear to me that his time is just about up. his performance this season has been downright awful, i know he's been injured and is probably still hurt. but i just do not want another season of this, especially when he's spending too much time in the box. he's been a good soldier for the team over the years and i hate to see him in the condition that he's in, i just think it's time to move on after this season.

i expect my captain to be able to do the following: score, hit, play defense, fight, not take alot of penalties, and above all else stay healthy and give maximum effort. it's obvious that morrow just can't do those things anymore with his age and injuries piling up. i'm almost certain that jamie benn is the future captain of the team, although i don't think he's ready to wear the C just yet. there are viable candidates such as otter, robi, and burish that can do the job for a year or two. but maybe it would be good for benn to be the captain next season whether he's ready or not. i say it's time to move on and have been thinking that since last season. i know people will hate me for saying this but it's my opinion and i haven't come to this conclusion lightly, it pains me to say it and i wish it wasn't true but it's time for someone else to lead. but this is just what i think, i want to hear from everyone else about this. i posted something about this back in november and people didn't seem to be on board, but later on it seemed like maybe everyone was ready for a change. so what do you guys think?
