Everyone just breathe...
I feel like people are really flipping out about this loss to the coyotes, so I'm going to try to be the voice of reason here.
Yes, you have every right to be frustrated with the stars. I can only name about 5 players right now that I think are playing well, and that's not good. I know that if my team loses I'm never happy, but let's all just take a deep breath here.
We have Joe and finally Tom, things are going to be alright, I promise. Joe knows what he's doing and Tom has finally given the team some money to play with. This teams just does not have the talent be badasses we've gotten used to seeing all these years. You can thank the former owner for that, I know I know, I won't mention his name. But this whole thing is all his fault, but don't worry he's gone now and he's never coming back.
Maybe everyone expected too much, or maybe we're all just frustrated because we were told to hurry up and wait for so long that it's worn on us all. But things will get better, it's just going to take some time is all. The future of the team is bright, there's plenty of kids in the minors that are going to be good players. But again, they need time.
Guys I promise this team will be better, whether you believe me or not this season has been a success. Jamie Benn has taken another step forward, in fact I dare say he's been awesome. We're getting to watch this guy, a fifth round pick for god sake, become the future captain of the team. How cool is that? I think Ryder has passed my expectations, I thought he would just come in and score goals. He's done that, and man have some of them been sick. But this guy has been a very good two way player, I'm impressed with his effort every night. Loui is still Loui, nuff said. Kari is rounding back into form, and I still believe he'll have a spot in the all star next year instead of that punk ass Howard.
My point is this, let's just chill a bit. Drink a few beers, smoke if you need to, this is gonna be fine. It's been several years, but the stars are finally headed in the right direction. It's just going to take awhile to get there is all. Now let's all just take a deep breath and look towards the blue jackets.
This is what being a fan is all about after all, we're in the trenches right now. But the good thing is that we're all in it together, and in a few seasons we'll all be able to say "yeah I was there when Modano was gone, when Neal was traded, and you know what, it was worth it. Sitting through those games watching a team struggling to keep its head above water was all worth it."
How do I know all this? Because for the first time in a long time I've got something here, I've got hope. Want to see what the other side of that looks like? Just ask a cowboys fan, now that's what hopelessness looks like. We're gonna be ok guys. Now put your pitchforks and torches down and take a deep breath and go chill out, next game starts tomorrow at 6. And if you're up to it I'll see you at the watching party on friday, GO STARS!!!

Love this!
It’s nice to see someone else stand up and say what I’ve been thinking/saying: DON’T GIVE UP. A true fan sticks through thick & thin. I get discouraged when I see people abandoning the Stars just cause we’ve had it rough.
I started following the Stars around 2006-2007… At the time I had no idea the team had ever even won a Stanley Cup… before then I watched a few Minnesota Wild games with my dad & I went to see the Wichita Falls Wildcats play….
I’ve watched the Stars get eliminated in the playoffs, I’ve watched us not make it. I’m not here because we’re a big name or a multiple time Stanley Cup Champion… (Although those things would be awesome)
I started watching the Stars cause I love hockey and they were the hockey team of my home area. Now, I’ve developed an attachment, and that’s not changing.
I want to see us get back to a team I’ve never quite seen us be, and I want to see our fan base get bigger. I want to see us succeed. But I’m more than willing to deal with frustrating games and seasons to get there!

Good stuff here.
Don’t feel like commenting that much since your text says it all.
Trevor Daley is my cup of tea.

NICE!!!!
Finally some positivity…one of the lowest salaries and still fighting for the playoffs in a tought conference and division. That says a lot especially that we can actually spend money now
