I will be here for the first period
Before going on to hockey conquests of my own in my weekly quest to steamroll at least one guy who is bigger than me.
I hope the Stars actually show up for that one period. It would be nice.

Can you write up a game recap
of your game? We need to know these things.
All kidding aside, I am jealous. Between work and a wife and two year old and this site and various church related things… no time for me to play. I’d so love too. I am really really… good terrible at it.
It would be easier if I knew all my teammates names
Hazard of having a group women’s locker room. My recaps would be like:
“White helmet fell down four times while swinging at a pass from Red Pants. Then Purple Pants on the other team cross checked me because he’s a jerkface.”

I was saying the same thing on Saturday and it was a sell out.
Let’s see what happens with official attendance. I’m thinking around 14k.

It will be pretty damning evidence when this is like 10k or something
That right now in this town… the opponent and the day of the week are the biggest factors in attendance. The Dallas Stars hockey team has little to do with it themselves.

That was a Tuesday as well, against an opponent no one cares about.

Eh Just walk down
Act like you know where you’re going.
No one will stop you. I’ve done it a dozen times.
tips
1. Play it cool. You have to have that “Yeah I can blow 500 bucks on one ticket” mentality
2. When everyone stares at you, your probably sitting in someone’s seats
3. If someone claims the seats, don’t immediately give up. Play along, then say your one over. Apologize and move on before a scene arises and attendants come to make order.

Just as a unit. The traffic there seems way down.

That would be nice
don’t know if it would ever happen. We had a NBA D-league team that left us for better futures, a CHL team that folded. We now have a NAHL team, and I go as much as I can, but the crowds are fairly dismal in size. However, the Albuquerque Isotopes (triple A Dodgers affiliate) do quite well in attendance.
This team desperately needs
Someone who can carry the puck through neutral and establish a zone presence. Larsen is trying but ends up turning the puck over at the end, and Goligoski often passes early trying to make sure he can back up whoever his partner is.

That's the most frustrating thing about this team.
The lack of effort. They just don’t show up.
Surprised you guys still watch them. It’s more entertaining to see everyone’s reaction to be honest.
Stars have been the same all season – and last – with moments of quality followed by 5 more games of inconsistency. The truth is, this team isn’t good.

I think that firing a coach...
because he can’t make an average talented team with a rock-bottom payroll play way above their heads is foolish.
Coaches are fired because they failed to meet expectations. Has Gulutzan failed to meet expectations? Has he even been given the chance?
Gulutzan has his flaws, but he seems to be one of the few coaches out there willing to learn and grow — which is exactly why he was hired. To grow with this team, which is still being built.
Fire him now? That’s foolish.

Nope. He said that alright.
And it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if that were true.

When there isn't anyone watching, he lets loose a bit.

And now up by three. Phenomenal.

Bad game overall.
But this team has basically zero forward depth.

Goodbye all, I’m not coming here until Stars start winning. CONSISTENTLY. I’ve been supporting them for years, but I’m tired of being disappointed.

Sigh. We're just not good.
So frustrated right now.
Early this season
This team had so much character and so much fight….how can it just disappear like this? Its the EXACT same group of guys….
Same thing happened last season....

I'm going to say it now
I know it’s his first season and it’s certainly not all his fault, but if they put up some more horrid games at home, does Joe have to fire Gully?
I mean you can’t expect people to pay to see hockey that bad.
Something clearly has to change
And we’ve fired great coaches before. Again, not saying that’s what I want (who would you even replace him with?) but doesn’t something have to give here?
