Another Jersey Design

Came across this on HFboards. I really like them, with a few tweaks. I prefer the more gold colored gold as opposed to yellow(although some here seem to like the yellow). As well as the alternate logo on the home and away shoulders. Also green instead of yellow for the white jersey numbers. Figured I'd post this here instead of on the last jersey post since it's buried so far back. Opinions?

I also prefer the dallas stars gold to the bright yellow though. Also I dont like the black inside the star on the crest. I really like the simple layout of the jersey and overall would be quite happy with something like this. I don’t care if we appeal to the north stars roots or not, so long as the jersey is nice looking and this would be.

It's cool that everyone wants new jerseys.

I hope I don’t come off as being offensive, but I would hate it if the Stars went retro North Stars on us. They’ve been here in Big D for almost 19-years. I don’t think we’ll see Colorado change their jerseys to look like the Nordiques any time soon.

I don't mind a bit of homage to the N Stars.

But not on the main uni’s. I wouldn’t mind it on the Alt ones.

Agree with you wholeheartedly. That's a great point!

Let’s pay homage to our Stanley Cup winning Dallas team instead, with Dark Green and plenty of it as far as I’m concerned.

I like these.

I think the black one with the alternate state logo isn’t good though. I’d prefer to just have a 3rd with the current logo and the other two (home and away) to have the retro inspired D*.

Trying too hard

Honestly, trying far too hard to bring the N. Stars to Dallas. The reason I don’t like the “throwback” look from the survey posts made this far is simply because they’re not enough like the old N. Stars look to be a “throwback,” and too much like other teams’ looks to be a unique appearance. I like the Stars’ current colours and I don’t think the Stars should abandon them, nor should they abandon the “Stars” logo (want to pay homage to the Minnesota days? Go back to that same logo, without the “DALL/\S” on top…voila, a third jersey concept is born (1993 jersey design, original D.Stars / Final N.Stars logo)).

A new template with a unique look that isn’t as bland and boring as the current jerseys (they’re not bad, just boring), but keeps the Stars colours as they are would be fantastic. What that template is, I honestly don’t know, but since we still don’t seem to be able to bring back the “Star” template, something a touch less boring would work just fine for me.

This could make a good 3rd jersey.

As much as I love grass green the Stars colors incorporate a darker green. Make the green in this jersey a few shades darker and gold instead of yellow and you have a jersey.
